Return & Refund Policy

At Valley Fuel Injection & Turbo, Inc., we stand behind every part we sell. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to make it right.

Return Eligibility

We accept returns on most items within the following timeframes from the date of delivery:

  • Diesel injectors and injection pumps: 1 year
  • Electronic parts and sensors: 30 days
  • All other parts and accessories: 30 days

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • In their original, unused, and uninstalled condition
  • In the original packaging with all included components (gaskets, o-rings, hardware, etc.)
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

Items that cannot be returned:

  • Parts that have been installed, modified, or show signs of use
  • Electrical components that have been plugged in or connected
  • Special-order or custom items
  • Items returned after the applicable return window

How to Start a Return

  1. Contact us by calling (530) 668-0818 or using the contact form on our website to request a Return Authorization (RA) number.
  2. We’ll provide you with an RA number and return shipping instructions.
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging and include your RA number on the outside of the box.
  4. Ship the item back to us. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a carrier with tracking and insurance.

⚠️ Important: Do not send returns without first obtaining an RA number. Unauthorized returns may not be processed.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 14 business days. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

  • No restocking fees — we do not charge restocking fees on any returns.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective on arrival, etc.).
  • If a return is due to an error on our part, we will cover return shipping costs and issue a full refund including original shipping charges.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or you receive a defective part, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.

Please include your RA number or order number on the outside of the box. We recommend using a carrier with tracking and insurance (UPS, FedEx, or USPS Priority Mail). VFI is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit.

Core Charge Policy

Many of our remanufactured injectors and injection pumps include a core charge at the time of purchase. This is a refundable deposit that is returned to you when you send back your old part (the “core”).

How core returns work:

  • You have 30 days from the date of purchase to return your core.
  • A return shipping label is included with your order for your convenience. Simply pack your old core in the box your new part arrived in, attach the label, and drop it off at the carrier.
  • Once we receive and inspect your core, we will process your core charge refund within 14 business days. Core charge amounts vary by product.
  • Core charges not claimed within 30 days are forfeited.

Core Condition Requirements

To receive a full core charge refund, your core must meet the following criteria:

  • Same type and fitment — the returned core must be the same make, model, and part type as the product purchased (e.g., a 17x VP44 core for a 17xVP44 purchase)
  • Complete and intact — all major components must be present and attached; do not disassemble the core
  • Rebuildable condition — the core must be in a condition that can be remanufactured
  • Original packaging — cores must be returned in the box your new part was shipped in; Bosch requires original packaging for all core returns
  • No external damage — cracked housings, fire damage, impact damage, or evidence of hydrostatic lock may disqualify a core
  • No unauthorized repairs — cores that have been previously opened, modified, or repaired by a non-authorized facility may not qualify
  • No salvage or junkyard cores — cores must be the original part removed from your vehicle, not sourced from a salvage yard

Cores that do not meet the above criteria may receive partial credit or no credit at the discretion of VFI and/or the original manufacturer. If a core is rejected and you would like it returned, you must request it within 30 days and pay for return shipping. Unclaimed rejected cores will be disposed of after 30 days.
