This is the Alliant Power AP63623, a high-pressure oil pump (HPOP) remanufactured by Alliant Power for the 1998 to early 1999 Ford 7.3L Power Stroke and the International T444E. On the Ford side that is the 7.3L E-Series from 1998 to early 1999 and the early 1999 F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty. On the Navistar side it covers T444E engine serial numbers 661,895 through 843,989. It replaces Ford F81Z-9A543-BRM and Navistar 1830857C91 and 2503704C91, it covers the same application as Bosch HP007X, and it comes with the mounting gasket.
The pump supplies the high-pressure oil that fires the HEUI injectors. A worn pump shows up as long cranking, a hot no-start, stalling at idle, low power and low injection control pressure (ICP). A leaking high-pressure hose, a sticking IPR valve or leaking injector seals cause the same complaints, so test the system before you replace the pump. 1999 is a split year on this engine: later 1999 through 2003 engines, serial 843,990 and up, take a different pump, AP63624.
