Valley Fuel Injection rebuilds diesel injection pumps by mail for customers all over the country. You do not have to be anywhere near Woodland, California to use us. Ship us your pump, we inspect it, rebuild it to factory specification on our own Bosch-certified test benches, and send it back ready to install, backed by our warranty. We have been doing this since 1993. Here is exactly how it works, what we rebuild, and what to expect.

Call before you ship anything. A two-minute call confirms we rebuild your pump, tells us it is on the way, and saves you shipping money if it turns out not to be a good candidate. Open Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday until 4:00 PM PST.

Prefer to type? Use the Start a Rebuild form at the bottom of this page and we will follow up by email.

Pumps and Injectors We Rebuild

We rebuild the full range of mechanical and electronic diesel injection pumps, plus diesel injectors of nearly every type. Not sure your unit is on the list? It very likely is, so call 530-668-0818 and ask. Each service below has its own page with more detail on that pump family.

Common Rail & Injectors

Want a faster option for a popular electronic unit? Several pumps and injectors are stocked as ready-to-install exchange parts, so you order the reman unit and send your core back afterward instead of waiting on a rebuild. That covers Dodge VP44 pumps, Bosch CP3 and CP4 high-pressure pumps, and Cummins common-rail injectors. See the exchange program for how that works, or browse all rebuild services. Trying to diagnose first? Our guides on VP44 failure symptoms and the P7100 vs VP44 5.9L Cummins comparison are a good place to start.

How to Ship Your Injection Pump

Step 1: Call or send an inquiry first

Call 530-668-0818 (Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST, and Friday until 4:00 PM) or use the form below. Have your pump’s make, model, and the number stamped on the tag handy if you can find it. We will confirm we can rebuild it and that we are expecting it.

Step 2: Pack it safely

A diesel injection pump is heavy and precise. Pack it so it arrives the way it left you:

  • Drain the fuel and cap the inlet and outlet ports (the red or plastic caps if you still have them) so fuel does not leak in transit.
  • Protect the drive shaft, the electrical connectors, and any solenoids. Wrap the whole pump in bubble wrap or foam.
  • Use a sturdy, correctly sized box with at least two inches of padding on every side. The pump should not shift when you shake the box.
  • Put a note inside with your name, phone number, email, and a short description of the problem or what you need done. If we talked on the phone, reference that.
  • Keep a photo of the pump and its tag for your own records before you box it up.

Step 3: Ship it to us

Send your pump, with tracking and insurance, to the boxed Ship To address at the top of this page: Valley Fuel Injection & Turbo, Inc., 1243 E Beamer St, Suite C, Woodland, CA 95776. We accept UPS, FedEx, and USPS. We strongly recommend insuring the shipment for the value of the pump and keeping your tracking number until you have it back in hand.

What Happens After We Receive It

  1. Inspection. We tear it down and inspect every component against factory wear limits to confirm what it needs.
  2. Quote. We call or email you with a firm price before any work begins. Nothing is done without your approval.
  3. Rebuild. We rebuild the pump with factory-certified parts and calibrate it to your pump’s exact factory specification on our test bench.
  4. Return. We ship it back ready to install, backed by our warranty: 12 months, unlimited mileage on the rebuild, plus 30 days on electrical and electronic components.

Turnaround depends on our current schedule and parts availability for your specific pump, so we give you a realistic estimate when you call. If you are down and need it fast, tell us up front and we will do our best to prioritize your rebuild.

Why Ship It to Valley Fuel Injection

A mail-in rebuild is only worth it if the shop on the other end knows the pump cold. Here is what you get when you send yours to us.

  • Bosch-certified bench since 1993. We rebuild and calibrate on our own test equipment to factory specification, not by feel. See our Bosch diesel injection testing and repair page.
  • 12-month, unlimited-mileage warranty on the rebuild, plus 30 days on electrical and electronic components. No mileage cap, whether the pump goes in a daily driver or a work truck.
  • You get your own pump back, calibrated to your engine, not a generic replacement that may no longer be made.
  • A firm quote before any work, based on the actual condition of your pump. No surprise invoices.
  • Real people who work on these every day. Not sure what failed? Our guides on 6.7L Cummins injector problems, the killer dowel pin, and 6.7 Cummins vs 6.6 Duramax reliability cover the usual suspects.

What to put in the box: the pump itself, a note with your name, phone, email, and the symptoms you are chasing, and a copy of any part or tag numbers. That is all we need to get started. Core and exchange: on a mail-in rebuild we work on your own core, so there is no separate core charge, you send us the pump and we send it back. If you would rather not wait, an exchange unit ships ready to install and you return your old core afterward. Questions on either path? Reach us through the contact page or learn more about our shop.

A large share of our mail-in work now arrives from outside California. If you are shipping from the Mountain West, see our diesel injection pump rebuild service for Utah for transit times and what to expect.
