This is a new, genuine Kubota starter motor assembly, part number 1G777-63014. It is a 12 V, 3.0 kW starter with a 9-tooth pinion for the Kubota V3307 four-cylinder diesel. It is Kubota’s current number for this starter and it replaces 1G777-63013, 1G777-63012 and 1G777-63010.
Replace a starter when it clicks but will not turn the engine, cranks slowly on a good battery, grinds on engagement or keeps running after the engine fires. A 3.3 liter diesel pulls a lot of cranking current, so load test the battery and check voltage drop on both cables and the ground strap before you condemn the starter.

Disconnect the battery before removal. Clean the mounting face and the ground path, check the flywheel ring gear for worn or chipped teeth, and tighten the mounting bolts to Kubota’s torque spec. This is a 12 V starter, so do not fit it to a 24 V machine.
