This is a new, genuine Kubota water pump assembly, part number 1A051-73036. Kubota engine dealers list it for the D1503, D1703 and D1803 three-cylinder diesels and the V2203 and V2403 four-cylinder diesels, and Kubota’s parts description calls it the low mount pump with a 2.62 inch impeller. Kubota dealer parts catalogs show it on the KX121-3, KX161-3 and KX91-3S2 excavators and on the U35 and U35-4. It replaces 1A051-73035 and 1A051-73032.

The earlier KX121-2 takes a different pump, 15521-73040, and Kubota L and MX tractors with the V2203 and V2403 take the high mount pump, 1A021-73036. Replace the pump when coolant weeps from the drain hole, the shaft bearing is rough or loose, or the engine runs hot with a good thermostat, radiator and fan belt. Kubota dealers list the gasket, 1A051-73430, as a separate part that is required with this pump.
