The Alliant Power D26993 is a new pencil fuel injector, not a rebuild. It is Alliant Power’s own version of the Stanadyne 26993, the pencil nozzle John Deere fits to turbocharged and aftercooled 300 Series engines. John Deere sells that nozzle as RE37503, and the original carries a white color code. It covers the 3.179T, the 4.239T and 4.239A, the 4.276D and 4.276T, the 6.359T and 6.359A and the 6.414D and 6.414T where the engine was built with this nozzle. You need one per cylinder: three, four or six.

This is the turbo and aftercooled injector for the older 300 Series, not for the later PowerTech 4045 and 6068, which take the D32262, D29279 or D38416. Naturally aspirated 300 Series engines such as the 3.152, 3.164 and 4.219 take Stanadyne 27333 (John Deere AR89564, blue), which we also list. John Deere lists more than one nozzle on some 300 Series engine models, so match the number and color code on your old injector. Pencil injectors are replaced for hard starting, smoke, knocking, rough running or leaks. Replace them as a set.

Confirm Fitment Before You Order

The 300 Series used several lookalike pencil nozzles: 27333 (AR89564, blue, naturally aspirated), 27336 (AR90024, green, turbo), 28481 (RE36936, yellow) and 28485 (RE38087, orange). John Deere lists RE37503 and AR89564 on some of the same engine models. Send us the number stamped on your old injector, or the engine model and serial number from the engine tag. Call 530-668-0818 and we will confirm the exact match at no charge before anything ships.

Fit new nozzle seals every time a pencil injector comes out, and clean the bore and seat before it goes back in. Use new leak-off grommets and do not overtighten the leak-off fittings. Pop test the set and keep opening pressures matched across cylinders. Torque the hold-down hardware to the John Deere spec for your engine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the D26993 fit my naturally aspirated 3.152, 3.164 or 4.219?

No. Those engines take Stanadyne 27333 (John Deere AR89564, blue). D26993 is for turbocharged and aftercooled 300 Series engines built with John Deere nozzle RE37503.

What numbers does the D26993 replace?

It is the Alliant Power version of Stanadyne 26993, which John Deere sells as RE37503. Related John Deere numbers are SE500824 and SE500825.

Is the D26993 a Stanadyne injector?

No. It is a new injector made for Alliant Power to the Stanadyne 26993 pattern. It is new, not remanufactured.

How do I make sure it is the right one for my engine?

Read the number stamped on the old injector body (26993) and check for the white color code. John Deere built some 300 Series engine models with more than one nozzle, so if the old injectors are gone, call 530-668-0818 with the engine model and serial number.
