2005-2007 Ford 6.0L Power Stroke FICM, F-Series, Excursion & E-Series | Alliant Power AP65124 Remanufactured
This is the Alliant Power AP65124, a fuel injection control module (FICM) remanufactured by Alliant Power for the later Ford 6.0L Power Stroke: 2005 to 2007 F-Series Super Duty, the 2005 Excursion built 2/1/2005 or later, and 2004 to 2010 E-Series vans. It comes pre-programmed, so it does not need dealer programming for the vehicles it is listed for. It replaces Ford 4C3Z12B599ABRM. A refundable core applies. The same module sold with no core is AP65124N.
A weak FICM shows up as hard cold starts, a rough or stumbling idle until the engine warms up, a miss under load or a crank with no start. Low battery or charging voltage does the same thing and is what kills these modules, so load test both batteries and check the alternator before you fit a new one. Stuck injector spool valves on a cold engine can look like a bad module too.

Three pre-programmed numbers cover the 6.0L and they do not swap: AP65122 for engines built before 9/22/2003, AP65123 for 9/22/2003 through 2004 (Excursion through 1/31/2005), and AP65124 for 2005 to 2007 F-Series, Excursion built 2/1/2005 on and 2004 to 2010 E-Series. Catalogs do not agree on the exact F-Series changeover between AP65123 and AP65124 (2005 model year or a 2/1/2005 build date), so send us your VIN and the engine build date from the engine data sticker. Disconnect both batteries before you unplug the module. Check the harness connectors for bent pins and oil, and fix weak batteries or a weak alternator first, because low system voltage is the usual reason a FICM fails.
