This is the Alliant Power AP91010, an electronic actuator for a variable geometry turbocharger, remanufactured by Alliant Power. It fits the Holset HE531VE turbocharger, an HE500 series turbo, on the Paccar MX-13 with EPA10 emissions equipment. The MX-13 is the Paccar engine used in Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks. This actuator takes the place of the one numbered Paccar 1856274, 1975830 or 2411558, which is Holset 4034284. It is the actuator only, not the turbocharger. A refundable core applies.
The actuator moves the variable geometry mechanism in the turbine housing. When it fails, the usual complaints are low or uneven boost, low power and a check engine light with turbo actuator fault codes. A turbo with a stuck or sooted mechanism throws the same codes, so check that the mechanism moves freely before you blame the actuator. EPA13 and later MX-13 engines use a different actuator, so go by the number on your old one.
Confirm Fitment Before You Order
This actuator is for the EPA10 MX-13 only. EPA13 engines use a different actuator (Paccar 1931136, 2037561 or 2411559), and EPA17 engines use others again. Check the number on your old actuator against this list: Paccar 1856274, 1975830 or 2411558, or Holset 4034284. Then send us the engine serial number. Call 530-668-0818 and we will confirm the exact match at no charge before anything ships.

Fits / Applications
- Paccar MX-13, EPA10 emissions, with the Holset HE531VE variable geometry turbocharger
- Takes the place of the actuator numbered Paccar 1856274, 1975830 or 2411558 (Holset 4034284, Holset new kit 6379262H)
- Not for EPA13 or later MX-13 engines, which catalogs list with a different actuator
- Actuator only. Match the number on your old actuator, or call 530-668-0818 with the engine serial number.
A replacement MX-13 turbo actuator typically has to be calibrated (paired) to the turbocharger with diagnostic software when it is fitted, so plan on a shop with Paccar-capable software and follow the Paccar service procedure. Before you bolt it on, make sure the variable geometry mechanism in the turbocharger moves freely through its full travel. An actuator will not fix a turbo that is stuck with soot.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the AP91010 fit my Kenworth or Peterbilt with the Paccar MX-13?
It fits the MX-13 with EPA10 emissions equipment and the Holset HE531VE turbocharger. EPA13 and later engines use a different actuator. Check the number on your old actuator, or call 530-668-0818 with the engine serial number and we will confirm it.
What numbers does the AP91010 take the place of?
Paccar 1856274, 1975830 and 2411558, also written with a PEX suffix, and Holset 4034284. Holset sells the same actuator new as kit 6379262H.
Is the AP91010 new or remanufactured, and is there a core?
It is remanufactured by Alliant Power. A refundable core applies, and it is refunded when we receive your old actuator in rebuildable condition.
Does the AP91010 have to be calibrated after it is fitted?
Plan on it. A replacement MX-13 turbo actuator typically has to be calibrated to the turbocharger with diagnostic software, so use a shop with Paccar-capable software. It is the actuator only and does not include the turbocharger.
