This injector has the conical seat and comes with its own stainless steel cup. Fit the new cup, hold down bolt and O-rings that come with it. Delphi’s installation bulletin for its remanufactured E3 unit injectors (HLN 19/01) says the cup must be changed every time an injector is replaced, and that every injector in one engine must have the same seat style: do not mix conical seat injectors with older flat seat injectors that sit in copper cups. Follow the Volvo or Mack service procedure for cup installation and for anything the engine computer needs after an injector change.
