It is the BorgWarner replacement for the Garrett GT3782 and GTA3782D turbos on these engines, including Garrett 751361-0001, 751361-0002, 751361-0007, 751361-5001S, 704193-0006 and 715138-0005. It replaces Navistar 1830497C91 through C93, 1830498C91 through C93, 1836094C91 through C93, 2506784C91, 2506785C91, 4307130R1, 4307239R91 and 4307248R91. The usual reasons to replace this turbo are low boost, black smoke under load, oil at the compressor outlet or in the exhaust, shaft play, or a wheel that has touched the housing. Change the engine oil and filter, check the oil feed line and the drain for restriction, and prime the turbo with clean oil before first start. Clean the charge air cooler and pipes if the old turbo passed oil or lost a wheel.
