Shop: 1243 E Beamer St, Suite C, Woodland, CA 95776

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Vacaville is 30 minutes from our door. Of everywhere we serve, Solano County has the shortest drive to a real injection bench.

There is no diesel fuel injection specialist anywhere in Solano County. Not in Vacaville, not in Fairfield, not down the hill in Vallejo or Benicia. The county has capable general shops and dealers, but when the diagnosis reaches the injection pump or the injectors themselves, the work needs a calibration test bench, and the nearest one sits in Woodland: Valley Fuel Injection & Turbo, 27 miles up I-505 from Vacaville.

That half-hour matters. Most of the customers on this page do not ship anything and do not wait on freight. They drop a pump off on the way to work, or send a driver up at 7:00 AM and have an answer the same morning. If you live along the I-80 corridor, treat us the way you would treat a local shop, because by drive time we are one.

Those are normal-traffic figures, and the run dodges Sacramento entirely: I-505 is the quiet shortcut between I-80 and I-5. If even that does not fit the week, the mail-in rebuild service exists, but from Solano County almost nobody needs it.

Use Us Like a Local Shop

The routine is simple. Call 530-668-0818 with the numbers off the pump tag or injector body, so we can confirm it is a unit we rebuild and tell you where the bench schedule stands. Then bring it up: no appointment needed for a drop-off, and mornings are best because we open at 7:00 AM.

Every unit is tested as received before anyone quotes a rebuild. That first test regularly saves Solano customers real money, because a fair share of pumps arrive healthy: the actual culprit was a lift pump, a plugged filter, or air sneaking into the suction side. If yours meets spec, you will be told so, pointed in the right direction, and sent home without a rebuild bill.

We are a bench shop first, and most corridor customers bring the component. Some in-shop vehicle work is on the menu too, Duramax CP4-to-CP3 conversions included; call and ask about scheduling.

Corridor Trucks, Valley Farms

The I-80 side

Solano’s diesel population is dominated by the freeway: commuter and contractor pickups, distribution fleets around Fairfield, delivery trucks working the grid between Vallejo and Dixon, and plenty of trucks around the Travis gate. The recurring jobs off this corridor are common rail: injector sets tested and rebuilt at rail pressure, common rail system diagnosis, CP3 and CP4 pump failures, and the classic Cummins patterns, from VP44 pumps on 24-valve Rams (a rebuild runs $1,800–$2,800) to 6.7L injector wear. Duramax LB7 injector sets and every generation of Power Stroke land here too.

Fleet operators based in Solano County can set up wholesale accounts: injector sets, pumps and turbos on a shop-to-shop basis, with your techs doing the R&R. Start that conversation here.

The farm side

North of the freeway, Solano is still farm country: row crops and alfalfa around Dixon, orchards out toward Winters, and the Vaca Valley operations that have run the same tractors for thirty years. Those machines carry the mechanical pumps we rebuild daily, Stanadyne rotaries, Bosch VE units, P7100 inlines, CAV/Lucas DPA pumps, plus the irrigation engines that have to light off every summer morning. As an authorized Kubota and Yanmar dealer we also stock factory parts for the compact tractors working smaller parcels, and the tractor injection pump rebuild page covers the ag process end to end.

What the Bench Does

  • Injector testing. Mechanical injectors pop-tested for pressure and spray pattern at $50–$100 per injector; common rail injectors measured at true rail pressure.
  • Pump rebuilds. Teardown, wear-part replacement, reassembly to spec, then calibration across the full speed and load range on Bosch-certified stands. A pump that skips the stand is assembled, not rebuilt.
  • Turbochargers. Inspection, rebuild and balancing through our turbocharger service.
  • Exchange stock. When the truck cannot wait on its own pump, the exchange program may have a calibrated unit ready to go.
  • The paperwork answer. Rebuilds carry 12 months with unlimited miles, 30 days on electrical and electronic parts, and the whole catalog is at rebuild services.

Solano County Questions

Do I need an appointment to drop off a pump or injectors?

No. Walk it in any weekday morning; we open at 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. A call ahead with the tag numbers just means faster answers when you arrive.

Why would I drive 30 minutes instead of ordering a pump online?

Because an internet pump is a guess in a box. A rebuild here starts with a test of your pump, is calibrated to your engine’s spec sheet, and comes with a shop 30 minutes away that answers the phone if anything acts up. For many older ag and inline pumps there is no new unit for sale at any price, so the bench is not the cheap option, it is the only one.

Can my Fairfield or Vacaville mechanic handle the whole job?

Yes, and that is common: your shop pulls the unit, runs it up to us or sends a driver, we rebuild and calibrate, they reinstall. Local shops use us as their bench so the customer never has to leave them.

You are close enough to visit, but should I ship instead?

From Solano County, shipping rarely makes sense. The drive is shorter than the packing job, you skip freight in both directions, and you get to set the pump on the counter and describe what the engine was doing to the people who will test it. Save the box for the counties that actually need it.

What should I have ready when I call?

Engine make and model, what the truck or tractor is doing wrong, and the numbers stamped on the pump tag or injector body. With those, you usually get a straight answer on the first call: rebuildable or not, roughly what it needs, and how the week looks.
