This is the Alliant Power remanufactured fuel rail set for the Ford 6.4L Power Stroke V8. The set is two high-pressure rails, one for the driver side and one for the passenger side. It fits 2008 through 2010 F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks and replaces the Ford rail kit 8C3Z-9T287-CRM (earlier number 8C3Z-9T287-CA).

Rails are commonly replaced during a fuel system contamination repair after a high-pressure pump failure, or when a rail has a damaged line seat or sensor port. The rails come bare. One rail has the threaded port for the rail pressure sensor, which on the 6.4L sits in the passenger side rail under the valve cover. The sensor itself is not included. Ford’s own service part for these rails is a remanufactured kit as well.

Both rails mount under the valve covers. Move the rail pressure sensor over from the old passenger side rail or fit a new one, and tighten it to the Ford specification. Keep every port capped until the lines go on. If the rails are being replaced because the high-pressure pump failed, deal with the rest of the high-pressure side at the same time, or leftover debris can damage the new parts.
