MAN D2868 V8 & D2862 V12 Industrial & Marine Common-Rail Fuel Injector | Bosch 0445120203 New
This is a new Bosch 0445120203 common-rail fuel injector for MAN’s big D28 V-engines. It crosses to MAN part numbers 51.10100-6090 and 51.10100-6131. Parts catalogs list it for the MAN D2868 V8 in its LE121, LE123, LE421 and LE426 versions (the LE42x versions are marine engines) and for the MAN D2862 V12 in its LE22x generator versions and LE3xx versions. The V8 uses 8 injectors and the V12 uses 12.
MAN builds the D2868 and D2862 for trucks, boats, generator sets and off-road machines, and not every version takes this injector. For example, the TGX V8 truck engine uses a different Bosch number. Replace injectors when you see hard starting, smoke, rough running, a weak cylinder on a cut-out or balance test, or high leak-off. Find the cause before you fit new ones: water or dirt in the fuel will ruin a new injector fast.

Fit new sealing rings and O-rings, clean the injector bore and seat, and follow the MAN service manual for installation and torque on the injector and high-pressure line. Flush the fuel system and change the filters first: water or debris that killed the old injector will kill the new one.
