This is a Bosch remanufactured CP3 high-pressure common-rail pump, Bosch 0986437310. It is the reman version of new Bosch 0445020122 (earlier 0445020043) and matches Cummins 5256607, 5256608, 4988593, 3975701 and 4941066. It fits Cummins QSB4.5 and QSB6.7 Tier 3 industrial engines. Komatsu uses the same pump (Komatsu 6754-71-1012) on its SAA4D107E-1 and SAA6D107E-1 engines, for example in PC200-8 and PC220-8 excavators and WA200-6 and WA250-6 wheel loaders.

Common reasons to replace a CP3 are low rail pressure codes, hard starting, loss of power under load, or metal in the fuel filters. Water or dirt in the fuel is the usual root cause, so fix that before the new pump goes on. This is not the pump for Ram pickups or for the ISB 6.7 midrange truck engine; those use different Bosch CP3 numbers.

Replace the fuel filters and check fuel supply to the pump before fitting. If the old pump left metal in the filters, clean the tank, lines and rail and check the injectors, or the debris will damage the new pump. Move the drive gear over from the old pump if the replacement comes without one, torque the gear nut to the engine maker’s spec, and prime the fuel system before cranking.
