Many of these Cat numbers were first built as Garrett turbos, so the turbo you are taking off may carry a Garrett tag: two catalogs show Cat 0R6957 as a Garrett UTV7802. The 3406 family used many different turbos, and they change from one rating to the next. BorgWarner also lists an S4T turbo, 178120, for the 3406B, so the engine model alone does not settle it. For the 3406E we list the BorgWarner S410G 177148 and the Garrett 704604-5011S, which replace a different set of Cat numbers. Heavy truck turbos are matched by the number on the turbo tag, not by engine model alone.
