This is the Alliant Power AP52900, a Denso common-rail fuel injector remanufactured by Alliant Power for John Deere 4045 4.5L and 6068 6.8L PowerTech engines. It is the Denso 095000-5050 injector and it replaces John Deere RE516540, RE519730, RE507860 and SE501924. Catalogs list it for the 6320, 6420 and 6620 tractors, the 4720 sprayer, the 624J loader and the 643J and 843J wheeled feller bunchers.

Hard starting, a rough idle, a miss on one cylinder, white or black smoke, fuel in the oil and low rail pressure faults are the usual reasons these injectors get replaced. Dirty or wet fuel is the common cause, so sort out the filters and the tank before new injectors go in. John Deere used several different Denso injectors on the 4.5L and 6.8L common-rail engines, and the same machine model can take more than one of them depending on the engine build. In this family, AP52900 is the 095000-5050 injector, AP52901 is 095000-6490, AP52903 is 095000-6320, AP52905 is 095000-7150 and AP52906 is 095000-6500. The 624J loader shows up under both AP52900 and AP52901, so the number on the old injector decides.

Confirm Fitment Before You Order

Order by the number on your old injector, not by machine model. This listing is the Denso 095000-5050 injector (John Deere RE516540, service number SE501924). The other 4.5L and 6.8L common-rail injectors look alike and do not interchange. Send us your engine serial number and the Denso or John Deere number off the old injector. Call 530-668-0818 and we will confirm the exact match at no charge before anything ships.

Fits / Applications

  • John Deere 6320, 6420 and 6620 tractors
  • John Deere 4720 sprayer
  • John Deere 624J loader
  • John Deere 643J and 843J wheeled feller bunchers
  • Only engines built with the Denso 095000-5050 injector. Check the number on your old injector.
  • Four injectors on the 4045, six on the 6068

Each injector carries its own trim code. That code has to be programmed into the engine controller for the cylinder it goes in, or the engine will not run right. Fit new fuel filters, keep every line and fitting clean and capped while the system is open, and torque the hold-down and the solenoid terminal nuts to the John Deere figures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the AP52900 fit my John Deere 6420 tractor?

Catalogs list AP52900 for the 6320, 6420 and 6620 tractors, but John Deere used more than one injector on these engines. Match the Denso 095000-5050 or RE516540 number on your old injector, or call 530-668-0818 with the engine serial number.

What numbers does the AP52900 replace?

Denso 095000-5050 and John Deere RE516540, RE519730, RE507860 and SE501924.

Is it new or remanufactured, and is there a core?

It is a Denso injector remanufactured by Alliant Power. A refundable core applies, and it comes back when we receive your old injector.

Does this injector need to be programmed?

Yes. Each injector has its own trim code, and that code is entered into the engine controller for the cylinder the injector goes in.
