The Alliant Power D32262 is a new pencil fuel injector, not a rebuild. It is Alliant Power’s own version of the Stanadyne 32262, the 9.5 mm pencil nozzle John Deere fits to naturally aspirated PowerTech 4045D 4.5 L and 6068D 6.8 L engines with a mechanical injection pump. John Deere sells that nozzle as RE60062, and the original carries a red color code. You need four for a 4045D and six for a 6068D.
This is the naturally aspirated injector of the family. The turbocharged 4045T, 4045H, 6068T and 6068H normally take the D29279 (Stanadyne 29279, John Deere RE48786, pink), and Tier 2 turbo engines take the rate-shaping D38416 (Stanadyne 38416, John Deere RE531436, blue). John Deere sets the RE60062 nozzle to a lower opening pressure than the turbo nozzle, so the three do not swap. Pencil injectors are replaced for hard starting, smoke, rough running, a miss or leaks past the carbon stop seal. Replace them as a set so opening pressures match.
Confirm Fitment Before You Order
John Deere specifies the RE60062 nozzle on a few turbocharged T and H builds too, and several lookalike pencil nozzles fit 4045 and 6068 engines (29279 pink, 38416 blue, 35050, 35102, 36710, 36713). Send us the number stamped on your old injector, or the engine model code and serial number from the engine tag (it looks like 4045DF150). Call 530-668-0818 and we will confirm the exact match at no charge before anything ships.

Fits / Applications
- John Deere PowerTech 4045D 4.5 L naturally aspirated engines with a mechanical injection pump
- John Deere PowerTech 6068D 6.8 L naturally aspirated engines with a mechanical injection pump
- Engines built with John Deere nozzle RE60062 (Stanadyne 32262). Check the number on your old injector.
- Four per 4045D, six per 6068D
Every time a pencil nozzle comes out, fit a new carbon stop seal and seal washer, clean the nozzle bore and make sure the seat in the head is clean and smooth. John Deere torques the hold-down clamp cap screw to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) and the leak-off line nuts to only 5 Nm (44 lb-in) on the 4.5 L and 6.8 L engines; leak-off lines break if overtightened. John Deere’s opening pressure setting for a new RE60062 nozzle is 238 to 244 bar (3,460 to 3,540 psi), with no more than 7 bar (100 psi) between cylinders.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the D32262 fit my turbocharged 4045T or 6068T?
Normally no. D32262 is the naturally aspirated 4045D and 6068D injector. Turbo engines usually take the D29279 or the rate-shaping D38416, although John Deere does specify the RE60062 nozzle on a few T and H builds. Call 530-668-0818 with the engine model code and serial number and we will match it.
What numbers does the D32262 replace?
It is the Alliant Power version of Stanadyne 32262, which John Deere sells as RE60062. Older and related numbers are Stanadyne 32261 and John Deere RE57469, SE501102, SE500828 and SE500829.
Is the D32262 a Stanadyne injector?
No. It is a new injector made for Alliant Power to the Stanadyne 32262 pattern. It is new, not remanufactured.
How do I know my engine takes this injector?
Read the number stamped on the old injector body: 32262 or 32261, with a red color code. The engine model code on the tag should start with 4045D or 6068D. If the code has a T or an H in that spot, check with us before you order.
