This is a new, genuine Kubota starter motor, part number 37560-63010. It is a 12 V, 1.2 kW unit with a 9-tooth pinion for Kubota 05 Series diesels: the D905, D1005, D1105 and V1505. It is Kubota’s replacement for starters 16612-63010 and 16614-63010.

Replace a starter when it clicks but will not turn, cranks slowly on a good battery, grinds on engagement, or pulls too much current. Rule out the battery, cables, grounds and the start signal first, since they cause many no-crank calls on small Kubota engines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does 37560-63010 replace Kubota starters 16612-63010 and 16614-63010?

Yes. 37560-63010 is Kubota’s replacement for both 16612-63010 and 16614-63010.

Will 37560-63010 fit any D905, D1005, D1105 or V1505?

It is made for those 05 Series diesels, but the 05 Series has used more than one starter number. Match the number rather than the engine model alone. Call 530-668-0818 with your old starter number, or the engine model and serial number, and we confirm it before anything ships.

What are the specs on 37560-63010, and is there a core charge?

12 V, 1.2 kW, with a 9-tooth pinion. It is a new, genuine Kubota starter sold outright, so there is no core charge and nothing to send back.

My D1105 will not crank. What should I rule out before buying a starter?

Rule out the battery, cables, grounds and the start signal first, since they cause many no-crank calls on small Kubota engines. A starter is due when it clicks but will not turn, cranks slowly on a good battery, grinds on engagement, or pulls too much current.
