This is a new, genuine Kubota starter motor, part number 67980-31150. It is a 12 V, 1.0 kW unit with a 9-tooth pinion for Kubota’s small D722 and D782 diesels. It is listed for Kubota ZD18 and ZD21 zero-turn mowers and G2160, GR2100 and TG1860 garden and lawn tractors.

Replace a starter when it clicks but will not turn, cranks slowly on a good battery, grinds on engagement, or pulls too much current. Rule out the battery, cables, grounds and the start signal first, since they cause many no-crank calls on small Kubota engines.
