This is a new, genuine Kubota injection pump assembly, part number 1G830-51012. It is the mechanical injection pump for the Kubota D1703-M-DI-E4, a 1.6 liter three-cylinder direct-injection diesel. Kubota’s parts catalog lists one pump number for the L2501 compact tractor in its 2WD, 4WD and HST versions and for the KX033-4 and U35-4 compact excavators.
There is no common rail on this engine, so the pump meters and times the fuel itself. Worn plungers show up as hard starting, low power, surging or fuel in the oil.
