This is a new, genuine Kubota water pump assembly, part number 1G489-73035. Kubota engine dealers list it for the D1803-CR and V2403-CR common rail diesels and for the V2403-M-T and V2403-M-DI-T turbo diesels. Kubota’s parts description reads low mount, 2.62 inch impeller, turbo. It replaces 1G489-73033, 1G489-73030 and 1G922-73030.
Dealer catalogs list this pump by engine, not by machine, and the same engine model can carry a different pump in a different machine. Kubota’s own tractors are the clearest case: the MX5100 has a V2403-M-T and takes the high mount pump 1A021-73036, and the MX5400 has a common rail V2403 turbo and takes the high mount pump 1G928-73035. Kubota also sells 1G730-73036 under the same description as this pump, so order by the number on your old pump. Replace the pump when coolant weeps from the drain hole, the shaft bearing is rough or loose, or the engine runs hot with a good thermostat, radiator and fan belt.
