Kubota D722 & D902 Stop Solenoid for K008-5, U10-5, KX018-4 & U17 Excavators | Genuine Kubota 1J022-60022
This is a new, genuine Kubota engine stop solenoid assembly, part number 1J022-60022. Kubota’s parts lists show it in the stop solenoid group of the K008-5, U10-5, KX018-4 and U17 mini excavators, and Kubota engine catalogs list this solenoid for the Super Mini Z482, D722 and D902 diesels. It is the current number: it replaces 1G820-60022 and 1J022-60020, and through them the older 1G820-60010 and 1G820-60012. Kubota also listed 1G820-60022 for the KX41-3, the U15 and the SCL1000.
This is not the 16851-60015 stop solenoid used on Kubota’s standard industrial Super Mini builds and the older K008-3. Both are SM series stop solenoids, but they are separate part numbers, so order by the number on the old part or by machine. A failed stop solenoid shows up as an engine that will not start, will not keep running or will not shut off, depending on how the machine is wired. Check the fuse, the wiring, the connector and the stop lever first.

Super Mini engines use more than one stop solenoid. This 1J022-60022 is the one in the K008-5, U10-5, KX018-4 and U17. The older K008-3 and Kubota’s standard industrial Z482, D722 and D902 builds take 16851-60015. Kubota’s excavator parts lists show the solenoid with a separate stay, 1G820-60170, an O-ring, 04814-06310, and its bolts. Fit a new O-ring and check that the stop lever moves freely before you bolt the new solenoid on. If the old coil burned out, find the cause before you fit the new one.
