This is the genuine Kubota upper gasket kit for the D902 diesel engine. It is the top-end gasket set for a head job on the Kubota RTV900 and RTV-X900 utility vehicles, and Kubota’s GL14000 generator parts list shows the same kit. It replaces the older number 1G823-99353. The kit covers the cylinder head gasket, head cover gasket, intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, valve stem seals, heat seals and the water flange, thermostat and muffler gaskets.

Early D902 engines take a different kit. Kubota’s RTV900 parts book shows 1G823-99350 up to engine serial 5V3977 and the later kit from 5W0001. Match the number in your parts list or have the engine model and serial number ready. The lower gasket kit is a separate part.

Is the 1G823-99354 the right upper gasket kit for an RTV900?

For most, yes. Two Kubota dealer catalogs list it for the RTV900 G6, R6, T6, W6, G9, R9, T9, W9 and XT models and the RTV-X900. Early RTV900 engines up to serial 5V3977 take a different kit, 1G823-99350, so check your engine serial number.

Does it replace 1G823-99353?

Yes. Kubota’s parts list shows 1G823-99353 up to engine serial 7XZ999 and 1G823-99354 from 7Y0001, marked new for old, and 1G823-99354 is the current number for both.

What is in the kit?

Kubota’s parts list and a Kubota dealer catalog both show the cylinder head gasket, head cover gasket, intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, valve stem seals, heat seals, an O-ring and the water flange, thermostat and muffler gaskets. The lower gaskets are a separate kit.

Will it fit the D902 in my BX tractor or ZD mower?

Do not assume so. Kubota lists different upper gasket kits for other D902 builds. Call 530-668-0818 with your engine serial number and we will look it up.
