This is a new, genuine Kubota radiator assembly, part number 1K583-72062. Kubota engine dealers list it for the V2203 and the V2403, the four-cylinder 2.2 liter and 2.4 liter diesels in Kubota’s 03 Series. It is a different radiator from 1G992-72060 and 1G994-72060, which are listed for the smaller 05 Series engines.

The V2203 and V2403 are fitted to many different machines and engine packages, and they were not all built with the same radiator. Kubota has other radiator assemblies under other numbers, such as 1G985-72062, and Kubota dealer catalogs do not show the size, hose layout or mounts of any of them. So the engine model alone will not tell you which radiator you have. The number on the old radiator or in the machine’s parts book decides it. Radiators are replaced for leaking tubes or seams, blocked fins, cracked tanks and broken mounts.

Specifications

Fits / Applications

• Kubota V2203 four-cylinder diesel engine
• Kubota V2403 four-cylinder diesel engine
• Direct replacement for a radiator numbered 1K583-72062. Other radiator numbers on these engines are different parts.

Before you drain the system, set the new radiator next to the old one and compare the hose necks, mounts, filler neck and shroud mounting points. Flush the system and refill with the coolant type and mix Kubota specifies for the engine. Replace soft or cracked hoses and weak clamps, and bleed trapped air before putting the machine back to work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the 1K583-72062 fit my Kubota V2203 or V2403?

Kubota engine dealers list it for both engines. These engines were not all built with the same radiator, so it is the right part only if your old radiator or parts book shows 1K583-72062.

Does the 1K583-72062 fit other Kubota 03 Series engines?

We list it only for the two engines confirmed in more than one Kubota dealer catalog, the V2203 and the V2403. For any other 03 Series engine, call 530-668-0818 with the engine model, the engine serial number and the number on your old radiator.

Is 1K583-72062 the same as 1G985-72062?

No. Both are genuine Kubota radiator assemblies, but they are separate part numbers and no catalog shows one replacing the other. Order the number on your old radiator.

Is it new or remanufactured?

New, genuine Kubota.
