Remanufactured to Factory Specification

This is a genuine Holset remanufactured unit, built and tested to the same specification as new, with a real warranty behind it. That is a different thing from a “rebuilt” or “will-fit” turbo: the factory reman process replaces wear components and validates the finished unit against the original spec. A refundable $1,000 core charge applies and comes back to you when we receive your old unit in rebuildable condition.

Signs the Actuator Is the Problem

On the HE300VG, the electronic actuator is the usual failure point long before the turbo itself is worn out. Typical symptoms:

• Check engine light with VGT or turbo actuator codes
• Surging or hunting boost at steady cruise
• Low power or a noticeable loss of boost
• Excessive drive pressure, or an exhaust brake that stops working properly
• Actuator that is slow, sticking, or not sweeping through its full travel

If the turbo itself still spins freely with no shaft play and no wheel damage, replacing the actuator is usually far cheaper than replacing the whole turbo.
