My old pump is stamped 1J801-50501 or 1J801-50502. Is this the right replacement?

Yes. Kubota uses the trailing digit to track revisions, so 1J801-50500, 1J801-50501 and 1J801-50502 are the same pump at different revision levels, and pumps sold under the -50500 number are frequently stamped -50501. Bosch 0445020200 is the current new replacement for all three.

Does this pump fit Cat mini excavators?

It fits machines powered by the Cat C2.4 engine, which is built on the Kubota V2403-CR, and it carries Cat part number 477-7689. Aftermarket cross reference listings show it on the 304.5E, 304E2 CR, 305E2 CR, 305.5E2 CR, 306, 307.5 and 307E2. It does not fit the 302.7D or the 303E CR, which use different engines. Will this fit an older mechanical V2403 or V2203?

No. Non common rail V2403 and V2203 engines, common in older Bobcat skid steers and compact excavators, use a Zexel in-line mechanical pump such as 104139-4151 (Kubota 1G796-51011 / 1G796-51012).
