Set the engine to top dead center on No. 1 cylinder, compression stroke, and time the pump to the Perkins procedure for the 903.27. Perkins DP200 pumps are normally lock-timed with a locking screw and spacer on the pump body, so check your old pump for the same screw and never turn the drive shaft with the screw locked on it. Fit a new flange seal, use clean fuel and new filters, and bleed the system before starting.
