These engines were built with three pump sizes, and the size follows the horsepower rating: 5.3 cc for 175 to 230 hp (this pump), 6.5 cc for 230 hp (HT) to 300 hp (Bosch HP020X), and 7.0 cc for 300 to 330 hp (Bosch HP022X). Order by the engine serial number and the Navistar number on the old pump. A worn pump shows up as a long crank, a no-start or low power with low injection control pressure. Check the IPR valve, the high-pressure hose, the injector O-rings and the oil level and condition before you replace the pump.
