This is a new, genuine Kubota alternator assembly, part number 1J022-64010, rated 12 V and 40 A. Kubota engine parts catalogs list it for the Z482, D722, D902, D1005, D1105 and V1505 diesels. Kubota dealer catalogs carry it on the B26 tractor loader backhoe, the LX2610HSD and LX2610SUHSD tractors, the F2690 and F2690E front mowers and the U17 excavator. It is the current replacement for alternators 16241-64010, 16241-64012, 16241-64013, 16241-64014 and 16241-64015, which Kubota fitted to many older B series tractors, F series front mowers and KX excavators.
Replace an alternator when charging voltage stays low with a good battery and clean connections, when the charge light stays on, or when a bearing gets noisy. Test output at the alternator and check the belt and the wiring before you condemn it. This is the 40 A unit that replaces the 16241 series. Kubota builds some of the same engines with the 30 A alternator 1G874-64010, the 60 A alternator K7561-61920 or a second 40 A alternator, 1E994-64010, which has a P terminal and replaces the 16678 series. Those are separate parts.
