2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Pickup DualBoost Turbocharger | Garrett 851824-5001S New
This is the Garrett 851824-5001S, a new Garrett turbocharger, not a rebuild. It is the stock DualBoost variable geometry turbo, with the double-sided compressor wheel and ball bearing center section, for 2011 to 2014 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 wide frame pickups with the 6.7L Power Stroke. It replaces Ford BC3Z-6K682-A and BC3Z-6K682-C. It does not fit cab and chassis trucks.
These turbos come off for bearing failure, shaft play, a howl or siren under boost, oil in the charge pipes, sticking vanes and low boost codes. Find out why the old one failed before you fit this one: check the oil feed and drain, the air filter and intake for debris, and the charge air cooler for oil and metal. The turbo comes with its VGT solenoid. Installation gaskets, hardware and the pedestal are not in the box.
Confirm Fitment Before You Order
Ford used different turbos on the pickup and the cab and chassis, and changed the pickup turbo for 2015. This one is for 2011 to 2014 pickups only. The 2011 to 2016 cab and chassis takes Garrett 854572-5001S, 2015 and 2016 pickups take the 892147 turbo and 2017 to 2019 pickups take the 888143 turbo. F-450 owners: the F-450 came as a pickup and as a cab and chassis, so check your old turbo tag. This turbo replaces tags that start with 851824 or 795655. Send us your VIN and that number. Order the installation gasket kit separately and reuse or replace your pedestal. Change the engine oil and filter, check the oil feed and drain for restriction, and clean the charge air cooler and pipes of oil and debris from the old turbo. Prime the turbo with clean oil before first start.
