This is the Garrett 725390-5006S, a new Garrett GT3782VA turbocharger, not a rebuild. It is the variable geometry turbo for the early Ford 6.0L Power Stroke: 2003 model year and early 2004 model year Super Duty trucks built 9/28/2003 and earlier, engine serial numbers below 6155637. It replaces Navistar 1837984C91, 1837984C94 and 1832160C91, Ford 3C3Z-6K682-CCRM and the older Garrett 725390 and 720523 numbers. It comes with the VGT solenoid and an installation gasket kit.
The 6.0L turbo is replaced for sticking vanes from soot and rust, shaft play, oil in the intake, slow spool and over-boost or under-boost codes. A stuck turbo on these trucks is often a symptom, so check the EGR system, the oil feed and drain and the VGT control circuit before you bolt on a new one. Trucks built after 9/28/2003 take a different turbo.

Change the engine oil and filter, check the oil feed line and the drain tube for coking, and clean or replace the EGR parts that fed soot into the old turbo. Prime the turbo with clean oil before first start. Use the new gaskets from the installation kit that comes with the turbo.
