This is the Bosch 0445120042, a new genuine Bosch common-rail fuel injector, not a rebuild. It fits the 6.6L Duramax LBZ in 2006 and 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 trucks, including the 2007 Classic. The LBZ has D as the eighth digit of the VIN. The same injector is normally used on the 2006 LLY (VIN code 2) and on 2006 and 2007 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans with the 6.6L. It replaces GM 97780474 and the earlier GM numbers 97780358 and 97361355, and the Bosch remanufactured version of the same injector is 0986435521. The engine takes eight.
Rough idle, smoke, hard starting, a miss under load or balance rates out of range point at worn injectors. Each new injector carries its own flow rate code, and that code has to be programmed into the engine computer after installation. 2007 is a split year: trucks with VIN code D take this injector, and trucks with the LMM (VIN code 6) take Bosch 0445120082.

Each new injector carries its own flow rate code. After installation, program that code into the engine computer for the cylinder the injector went into. This takes a scan tool. Each injector seals with a copper chamber gasket and a body O-ring, so use new ones. Change the fuel filter and start with clean fuel.
