This is the Bosch 0986435254, a common-rail fuel injector remanufactured by Bosch. It is the remanufactured version of the new Bosch 0445110457 and replaces CNH 5801470098 and the earlier CNH number 5801376566. It fits the Tier 4A FPT F5 3.4L four cylinder (F5H and F5D) in Case SR220, SR250, SV250 and SV300 skid steers, TR320 and TV380 track loaders, 580SN and 590SN backhoes and the 750M dozer, in Case IH Farmall 85C to 115C, 95U to 115U and N series tractors, and in New Holland T4 and T5 tractors, C232 and C238 track loaders, L225 and L230 skid steers and the B95C backhoe. A refundable core applies.

Hard starting, a rough idle, white smoke, a rail pressure fault or a cylinder that drops out are the usual reasons these get changed. This engine is fed by a CP4 high-pressure pump, and a failing pump can send metal through the rail and take the injectors with it, so check the fuel for metal before you fit new ones. Many of these machines were also built as Tier 3 and as later Tier 4B models that take other injectors, so match the number first. The engine takes four injectors.

If the old injectors failed along with the high-pressure pump, flush or replace the rail and lines and clean the tank before fitting these, or the new injectors will not last. Use new sealing washers, keep the connections clean and change the fuel filters.
