Delphi EX634762 is a Delphi remanufactured HEUI (hydraulically actuated, electronically controlled) fuel injector for the Caterpillar C7 7.2L diesel. It is Delphi’s version of Cat reman injector 10R-4762 and matches Cat new numbers 222-5962, 238-9808, 238-9809, 241-3239, 243-4503, 295-1409, 328-2584 and 387-9429. The C7 powered many 2004 to 2009 medium-duty trucks and buses, such as the Freightliner FL80, Sterling Acterra, Chevrolet Kodiak C8500 and Blue Bird school buses.

Delphi gives every injector its own trim code, supplied in the box. The code corrects for small flow differences between injectors, so it must be entered into the engine ECM. Delphi makes three C7 injectors that look alike: EX634761 (Cat 10R-4761), EX634762 (Cat 10R-4762) and EX634763 (Cat 10R-4763). Match the Cat number on your old injector. Common reasons to replace them are hard starting, rough running, misfire, smoke and low power.
