Kubota 05 Series D905, D1005, D1105 & V1505 Engine Stop Solenoid 12 V | Genuine Kubota 17208-60016
This is a new, genuine Kubota 17208-60016 engine stop solenoid, also called a fuel shutoff solenoid. It is the 12 V stop solenoid for Kubota 05 series diesels: D905, D1005, D1105, D1305, V1305 and V1505. Kubota parts catalogs list it on B2410, B2710, B2910, B7610 and B7800 tractors and on KX030-4, KX71-3, KX71-3S, U25S and U27-4 mini excavators. It is the current Kubota number and replaces 17208-60010 and 17208-60015.
A failing stop solenoid usually shows up as an engine that cranks but will not start, starts and then dies, or will not shut off. Before you replace it, check the fuse, the wiring and the connector, and make sure the stop lever moves freely. This is not the solenoid for 03 series engines such as the V2203 or V2403. Kubota uses 1A021-60017 on those.

Kubota uses different stop solenoids on other engine families: 16851-60015 on Super Mini engines (Z482, D722, D902) and 1A021-60017 on 03 series engines (D1503 to V2403). They are not substitutes. Fit the new solenoid in the same position as the old one so the plunger lines up with the stop lever. If the old solenoid burned out, check the key switch, relay and wiring, and make sure the stop linkage is not binding, before you install the new one. Otherwise the new coil can fail the same way.
