This is a new, genuine Kubota injection pump assembly, part number 1G762-51012. Kubota describes it as a four-cylinder 03 Series pump, and it is the current number for the older 1G762-51010. Kubota’s parts catalog lists it for three tractors: L4400DT and L4400F models with the 2.2 liter V2203-M, the MX4700 (DT, F and H) with the 2.4 liter V2403-M, and the L4740-3 (GST, HST and HSTC), also a 2.4 liter. Kubota engine dealers file it under the V2203.

These are indirect-injection engines, and Kubota’s workshop manual lists their pump as a Denso PFR 4M type mini pump. It has no camshaft or governor of its own: the engine’s fuel camshaft drives it, and timing is set with shims under the pump. Typical reasons to replace it are worn plungers that no longer hold pressure, hard starting, low power or fuel in the oil. Rule out air in the fuel, a plugged filter and tired injectors first. The L4400 was built with two different pumps, this one and 1G916-51013, so check the number on the pump you are taking off.
