This is a new, genuine Kubota nozzle holder assembly, part number 1J730-53002. Kubota calls a complete mechanical injector an ASSY HOLDER, NOZZLE, so this is the whole injector, not a nozzle tip alone. It is for the Kubota V2607-DI, the naturally aspirated 2.6 liter four-cylinder direct-injection diesel with a mechanical in-line injection pump. Kubota’s parts lists put it on the U55 and on the KX057-4 compact excavator, where the engine group is marked V2607-DI-E3-BH.

The KX057-4 was built with two fuel systems. Machines with the mechanical V2607-DI take this injector. Machines with the common-rail V2607-CR take an electronic injector kit from the 1J706 series, and so does the U55-4. Hard starting, a rough idle, smoke or fuel knock point at tired injectors, but check the fuel filter and look for air in the supply side first. The engine takes four.

Set the new injector next to the old one before you fit it and compare the body, the fuel connections and any seal on the holder. Kubota’s parts list for these machines shows two O-rings and a packing with each nozzle holder as separate parts, so fit new ones. Kubota’s service data for the mechanical V2607 gives 9.81 to 11.2 N-m (7.24 to 8.26 lb-ft) for the overflow pipe joint screws and 22.5 to 36.2 N-m (16.6 to 26.6 lb-ft) for the injection pipe retaining nuts. Bleed the fuel system before cranking.
