This is a new, genuine Kubota fuel injector, part number 16001-53904. Kubota calls it a nozzle holder kit (KIT HOLDER,NOZZLE). It is the complete injector, with the holder body, spring, push rod and nozzle assembled and set. It fits Kubota’s Super Mini indirect-injection diesels: the two-cylinder Z482 and Z602 and the three-cylinder D722, D782 and D902. It is Kubota’s current number for kit 16001-53900.
Kubota lists it on the BX1500D, BX1800D, BX1830D, BX2230D, BX2350D and BX24D, the B7400 and B7410, the RTV900, the G2160, TG1860 and GR2100, the ZD18 and ZD21 and the K008-3. These injectors are replaced for hard starting, smoke, a miss or knock at idle, or a poor spray pattern on the pop tester. Kubota used two injector families on the Super Mini engines. This is the 16001 series. Later machines such as the BX1870, BX2370, BX2380 and RTV-X900 take the 16871 series (16871-53002 or kit 16871-53904). Some models built across the change, the BX1860, the RTV900 9 series, the K008-3 and the KX41-3 among them, are on Kubota’s lists for both.

Kubota’s Super Mini workshop manual says the copper gasket and the heat seal must be changed whenever an injector is removed. Kubota’s numbers for them on these engines are 15841-53622 (gasket) and 19077-53650 (heat seal). Clean the bore and seat, tighten the nozzle holder assembly to 49.0 to 68.6 Nm (36.2 to 50.6 ft-lb), bleed the fuel system and check the injection pipes and the overflow pipe for leaks.
