Kubota 16006-51012 is a new, genuine Kubota injection pump assembly for the 3-cylinder D722 and D902 diesels. Kubota’s parts catalog lists it on BX1860, BX1870, BX1880, BX2360, BX2370, BX2380, BX23S and BX25 sub-compact tractors, RTV900XT and RTV-X900 utility vehicles, the G2160 and GR2110 and GR2120 lawn tractors, and ZD221, ZD321, ZD323, ZD1011 and ZD1021 zero-turn mowers. It replaces 16006-51010 and 16861-51010, so it also covers older machines built with those numbers, including the BX1800D, BX1830D, BX1850D, BX2230D, BX2350D and BX24D, 2004 to 2011 RTV900 models, and K008 mini excavators.

Kubota uses this one pump on both engine sizes: the BX1880 runs the D722, while the BX2380 and BX23S run the D902. Replace it when it leaks, will not hold delivery, or has worn elements after dirty or wet fuel got through. It is built for Kubota by Zexel, now part of Bosch, and comes as a complete pump assembly.

Kubota sets injection timing on this style of pump with shims under the pump mounting flange. Keep the old shim stack, fit it under the new pump, then check timing to the Kubota workshop manual spec for your engine. When you fit the pump, use the stop lever to line up the governor fork with the pump’s control rack pin; a missed pin can damage the fork.
