Kubota 15821-52030 is the new, genuine engine-driven mechanical fuel lift pump for Kubota’s Super Mini (SM) series diesels, including the Z402, Z482, D722 and D782. Kubota also uses it on the WG752 and DF752 gasoline engines. It is listed for the B7300HSD, B7400HSD and B7410D tractors and the G-5500S diesel generator. This number replaces the older Kubota numbers 12581-52030, 15841-52030, 19035-52030 and 19055-52030.
A failing lift pump starves the injection pump: hard starting, surging, loss of power under load or the engine dying once it warms up. Before replacing the pump, rule out a plugged fuel filter, a blocked tank vent and cracked hoses that let air in.

Fit a new mounting gasket and make sure the pump’s drive lever seats correctly on the engine’s drive cam before tightening the bolts. Clamp both hoses, then bleed the fuel system as the engine manual describes.
