This is a new, genuine Kubota 16851-60015 engine stop solenoid. It is the 12 V stop solenoid for Kubota Super Mini (SM) series diesels, including the Z482, Z602, D722 and D902. Kubota parts catalogs list it on the B7410D, the BX1500D, BX1800D, BX2230D, BX24 and BX25 tractors, RTV900 utility vehicles built from 2004 to early 2011, and the K008-3 mini excavator. It replaces 16851-60010, 16851-60012, 16851-60013 and 16851-60014.
A failing stop solenoid usually shows up as an engine that cranks but will not start, starts and then dies, or will not shut off. Kubota’s Super Mini workshop manual covers two kinds of stop solenoid: an energize-to-run type with a 3-pin connector (pull-in coil, hold coil and ground) and an energize-to-stop type with a 1-pin connector. Match the connector and the number on your old solenoid before you order.

Check the fuse, wiring and stop linkage before you replace the solenoid. For the energize-to-run type, Kubota’s Super Mini workshop manual says the solenoid has a built-in timer that limits pull-in coil on-time to about 0.5 to 1.2 seconds to prevent burnout. If the old solenoid burned out, find the cause (key switch, relay or a binding stop lever) before you install the new one.
