This is the Alliant Power AP55001, a common-rail fuel injector remanufactured by Alliant Power for the Cat C4.4 and C6.6 and the Perkins engines built on the same design. It replaces Cat reman number 10R-7671 and crosses to 2645A738, 2645A746, 292-3778, 306-9377 and 320-0677. A refundable core applies.
These engines used three injectors that look the same. Alliant Power AP55000 covers Cat 10R-7670 and AP55002 covers Cat 10R-7672, and they do not swap with this one. The number on your old injector decides it. Rough idle, a miss, hard starting, white smoke or a rail pressure fault that will not clear are the usual reasons to change one.
