This is the Alliant Power AP63445, a new kit that puts both 6.0L Power Stroke coolers in one box: the AP63451 engine oil cooler kit and the AP63446 EGR cooler kit. It covers the 2004 to 2007 Ford F-Series, the 2004 to 2005 Excursion, the 2004 to 2010 E-Series, and the 2004 to 2007 International VT365. The EGR cooler replaces Ford 4C3Z9P456AF, 4C3Z9P456AC and 4C3Z9P456AJ. The oil cooler replaces Ford 3C3Z6A642CA.

On the 6.0L the two coolers fail together more often than apart. A restricted oil cooler starves the EGR cooler of coolant flow, the EGR cooler overheats and opens up, and the truck starts losing coolant and steaming at the tailpipe. Both coolers sit under the intake manifold, so shops change them in one job. The EGR cooler is a direct replacement for the factory part and keeps the emissions system as built. If you only need one, the EGR cooler kit alone is AP63446.

Flush the cooling system before the new coolers go in, since casting sand and coolant sludge are what plug the oil cooler in the first place. Use the gaskets and seals supplied, change the oil and filter, refill with clean coolant, and pressure test the system before the truck goes back to work.

Will it fit my 2004 Ford 6.0L?
