This is the Alliant Power AP63446, a new exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler kit for the Ford 6.0L Power Stroke. It covers the 2004 to 2007 F-Series, the 2004 to 2005 Excursion, the 2004 to 2010 E-Series, and the 2004 to 2007 International VT365. It replaces Ford 4C3Z9P456AF, 4C3Z9P456AC and 4C3Z9P456AJ. The kit includes the AP63447 EGR cooler intake gasket kit.

It is a direct replacement for the factory EGR cooler and keeps the emissions system as built. Coolant loss with no outside leak, white steam from the tailpipe and coolant in the intake or at the EGR valve are the usual signs of a cooler that has opened up inside. On the 6.0L a restricted engine oil cooler is a common reason the EGR cooler fails, so check oil and coolant temperatures before you fit a new one. If the oil cooler is also due, the combined kit is AP63445.

Use the intake gaskets supplied in the kit. Check the engine oil cooler for restriction while the intake is off, flush the cooling system and refill with clean coolant, and pressure test before the truck goes back to work.
