This is the Holset 5325950H, a new Holset HE351VE variable geometry turbocharger, not a rebuild. It fits 2007.5 to 2012 Dodge Ram trucks with the 6.7L Cummins: 2500 and 3500 pickups and 3500, 4500 and 5500 cab and chassis trucks. The electronic actuator comes fitted to the turbo, so there is no separate actuator to buy or match. It takes the place of Holset 5322344, 4046837, 3799840 and 3799833, Cummins 3770973 and 2882075, and Mopar 68048234. The Holset remanufactured version of the same turbo is Holset 5325950HX.

These turbos usually come off for a sticking sliding nozzle from soot, a weak or dead exhaust brake, low boost, a failed actuator or shaft play with oil in the intake. The variable geometry section also works the exhaust brake, so a turbo that sticks often shows up first as a brake that does not hold. Change the engine oil and filter, and make sure the oil feed line and drain are clean and clear before the first start. Use new gaskets at the exhaust manifold, oil drain and coolant connections. Prime the turbo with clean oil through the feed port and let the engine idle before it sees load. Clean the charge air cooler and piping if the old turbo passed oil or broke up. Holset packs the installation gaskets and seals with the new turbo.
