This is the Bosch 0445120027, a new genuine Bosch common-rail fuel injector, not a rebuild. It fits the 6.6L Duramax LLY in 2004.5 and 2005 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 trucks. The LLY has 2 as the eighth digit of the VIN. It replaces GM 97780144 and the earlier GM number 97303657, and the Bosch remanufactured version of the same injector is 0986435504. The engine takes eight.

Rough idle, smoke, hard starting, a miss under load or balance rates out of range point at worn injectors. One trap with this engine: the 2006 LLY also has 2 in the VIN, but it normally uses the LBZ fuel system and takes Bosch 0445120042, not this injector. Read the number on top of your old injector before you order.
