Delphi 28337917 is a new Delphi DFI 2.5 common-rail fuel injector for the Doosan-built D18 (1.8L) and D24 (2.4L) Tier 4 engines. Bobcat sells these as its own 1.8L and 2.4L ULPC engines and uses them in its 400, 500 and 600 frame loaders, Toolcat work machines and compact excavators. It matches Doosan 400903-00074D and Bobcat 7516848, which replaced Bobcat 7275454.

Common reasons to replace it: hard starting, rough idle, misfire, smoke, low power, injector fault codes, or damage from dirty or wet fuel. Each injector carries its own trim code, and that code must be programmed into the engine controller with a scan tool. Bobcat warns that skipping this step can damage the engine. If you want a remanufactured exchange unit instead, the Delphi number is EX631088.

Program the injector trim code into the engine ECU with a scan tool that supports the Bobcat/Doosan engine. Bobcat’s parts listing says the injector must be programmed after install and warns that skipping it may damage the engine. Use a new copper sealing washer and O-ring (Delphi seal kit HTK136, Bobcat 7030434). Flush the fuel system and change the filters first, because this Delphi system does not tolerate dirt or water in the fuel.
