Kubota 16001-51012 is a new, genuine Kubota injection pump assembly for 2-cylinder Kubota diesels. Kubota’s catalog lists it for the BX1500D sub-compact tractor, which runs the Z602, and the T1600H lawn tractor, including the T1600H-G and European versions, which runs the Z482. It replaces the earlier 16001-51010 and 16851-51010.

It is a small 2-cylinder pump, about 1.7 lb, supplied as a complete assembly. Replace it when it leaks, will not hold delivery, or has worn elements after dirty or wet fuel got through.

Specifications

Fits / Applications

• Kubota BX1500D sub-compact tractor (Z602 engine)
• Kubota T1600H, T1600H-G and T1600H-EUROPE lawn tractors (Z482 engine)

Kubota sets injection timing on this style of pump with shims under the pump mounting flange. Keep the old shim stack, fit it under the new pump, then check timing to the Kubota workshop manual spec for your engine. When you fit the pump, use the stop lever to line up the governor fork with the pump’s control rack pin; a missed pin can damage the fork. Find out why the old pump failed, then flush the tank and lines and fit new filters before start-up.

Does Kubota 16001-51012 fit the BX1500D?

Yes. Kubota’s catalog lists 16001-51012 for the BX1500D sub-compact tractor, which runs the Z602. It also lists it for the T1600H lawn tractor, including the T1600H-G and European versions, which runs the Z482.

My old pump number is 16001-51010 or 16851-51010. Is 16001-51012 the replacement?

Yes. 16001-51012 replaces the earlier 16001-51010 and 16851-51010.

Will 16001-51012 work on any Z482 or Z602 engine?

Not always. Kubota used more than one injection pump on Z482 and Z602 engines. Send us the Kubota number on your old pump, or the machine model and serial plus the engine model and serial, and we will confirm the match at no charge before anything ships.

Is 16001-51012 a new pump or a rebuilt one, and is there a core charge?

It is a new genuine Kubota 2-cylinder injection pump, supplied as a complete assembly. We are an authorized Kubota dealer and sell it outright, with no core charge. Keep the old shim stack from under the pump mounting flange, because Kubota sets injection timing with those shims.
