This is a new, genuine Kubota fuel injector, part number 1G141-53000. Kubota calls it a nozzle holder assembly (ASSY HOLDER,NOZZLE), and engine dealers also list it as INJECTOR, FUEL ASSY. It is the complete injector for Kubota’s single-cylinder, oil-cooled OC series diesels. It is Kubota’s replacement for 11420-53002, the OC60 injector, and 11460-53000, the OC95 injector, so one number now covers both engines.

On a one-cylinder engine a bad injector shows up fast: hard starting, smoke, knock, or an engine that will not hold speed under load. Pop test it before you replace it. Kubota’s OC60-E2 and OC95-E2 workshop manual gives 13.9 to 14.7 MPa (2,019 to 2,133 psi) and a throttle-type nozzle for both engines. Dirty fuel, air in the line and a worn injection pump cause the same complaints.

Kubota’s OC60 and OC95 workshop manual says to replace the copper gasket, and the heat seal on engines that have one, whenever the injector comes out. Tighten the nozzle holder mounting nuts evenly to 13.7 to 17.6 Nm (10.1 to 13.0 ft-lb), keep carbon and dirt out of the bore, bleed the fuel system and check the injection pipe for leaks.
