Before you order: Bobcat and several other OEMs fitted different engines to the same model number across serial ranges, and the 2.0 L V2003, 2.2 L V2203 and 2.4 L V2403 look nearly identical installed. Always confirm from the engine serial plate. Call us with the numbers and we will do it for you.

Verified V2403 applications:

• Bobcat T190 compact track loader
• Kubota KX161-3S excavators built after the factory engine upgrade (V2403-M-E2BH). Earlier KX161-3 machines carried the V2203, so this one turns on the serial number.
• Caterpillar machines built on the Cat C2.4. Caterpillar and Kubota both publish the same bore and stroke for these engines, 87.0 mm x 102.4 mm and 2.4 litres, and Caterpillar holds no engine certification of its own at this displacement. Confirmed as C2.4 in Caterpillar’s own Specalog sheets: mini excavators 304E CR, 304E2 CR, 305E2 CR, 305.5E, 305.5E2 CR and 306E2, plus 903C, 903C2 and 903D compact wheel loaders
• Toro Groundsmaster 4000-D (V2403-M-T-E3B, per Toro’s own service manual)

Commonly listed on the V2403, but confirm by serial number first. These are plausible V2403 machines that we have not been able to tie to an OEM document, or that shipped with more than one engine:

• Bobcat skid steer and track loaders: S185, S205, T180
• Bobcat excavators and loaders: 335, 430, 435, E50, E55
• Kubota tractors and TLBs: M5100, M4800SU, M62
• Generator sets in the 25.5 to 33.5 kW class built on the BG variants
• TCM SSL707 and SSL709, Princeton forklifts, and Jacobsen LF550 and LF570 mowers

Frequently mistaken for a V2403. OEM documentation puts a different engine in these, so do not order a V2403 for them without checking first: Bobcat S130, S150, S175 and T140 (Bobcat catalogs the V2203 for these under part number 7143319), Bobcat 331, 334, 337 and 341 (V2203 or V2003-T), Kubota KX121-3 and U45-3 (Kubota’s own workshop manual specifies the V2203-M-E2BH), Gehl 6635 (Deutz BF4M1011F, not a Kubota at all), and Scat Trak 1300D (V2203-E). On the Caterpillar side, watch the 307E2: the North American and European build uses the C2.4, but the China Stage III build is a Cat C2.6 (87 x 110 mm), which is a different engine. There is no such machine as a “307E2 CR” in Caterpillar’s documentation, and the 303.5E CR and 303.5E2 CR are the smaller C1.8 and C1.7.

One important caution: the Kubota KX057-4 and U55-4 excavators use the larger V2607-CR, not the V2403. If you are not certain which engine your machine carries, send us the machine model and serial number and we will verify it before anything ships.
